EHS Spardettes


The Emery High School Spardettes will present their Spring Show on March 19, at 7:30 p.m. at the Spartan Center. Don’t miss this affordable family entertainment of precision drills and dance.

A Sunshine Project


Varsity Troop 315 is selling Sunshine (Grade A manure). This money will be used by the troop to pay for summer camp. Building Homes Building Lives


Habitat for Humanity of Castle Country is accepting applications for two homes to be built in Castle Dale within the next two years. Board meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Carbon County Courthouse – everyone welcome – have one board position open. Sign up for the upcoming Golf Scramble at Green River Golf Course (April 26) and the Bowling Fundraiser (May 4). Call 435-636-3230 for details.

Little League Sign-ups

Ferron Babe Ruth Baseball Sign-ups

Babe Ruth Baseball


Babe Ruth Baseball sign-ups are March 26, 5-7 p.m. at the recreation building in Castle Dale. Thirteen through 15 year old boys county-wide. Call Joe Edgehouse, 381-2976, for details.

SRJH Parents


The Parent/Teacher conferences at San Rafael Junior High will be held March 19 and 20 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. All teachers except, Mrs. Card, and Mr. Hales will be available on Tues. All teachers except Mr. Cox, Mrs. Barnett, Mrs. Willson, Mrs. Johansen, and Mrs. Roberts will be available on Wed. Brother Doria will be at the Seminary building both sessions. No school on March 21.

Parents/Guardians


The parent/teacher conference at Canyon View Jr. High for 2nd semester will be held over two evenings: March 19, and March 20, from 4-7 p.m. Some teachers will be available for just one session as follows: March 19, – David Bird, Tiffany Sorensen, Jackie Weihing, and Doug Mecham; March 20, – Reed Fehlberg, Kathryn Emery, and Creig Cox. No school on March 21.

Veterans and Dependents


The American Legion Service Officer will be at the DWS Center, 475 West Price River Drive in Price on March 20, from 9-10:30 a.m., and at Green River at the City Hall on March 19, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. You may call to see which documents you will need to bring at 801-524-6040.

Presenting LD Singers


The LD Singers from Ephraim LDS Institute of Religion will perform at Emery High Auditorium on March 20, at 7:30 p.m. There is no charge for this religious program; the community is invited. For more information call Cindy Foote at 381-2050.

Cheering for Spring


The Emery High Cheerleaders are staring in their Spring Show on March 22, at 5: 30 p.m. in the old Emery Gym. Come out and support the cheerleaders who support the teams all year through. Affordable tickets for a great night’s entertainment.

CEU Founder’s Day


The College of Eastern Utah’s annual Founders’ Day is set for March 23. Events will be groundbreaking for new Reeves Main Building at 4 p.m. at east parking lot on 400 North, a reception for honorees and families at 5 p.m. at the College Center; a dinner at 6 p.m. followed by the awards. Those interested in participating in the alumni choir or making reservations for the dinner can call 435-613-5246.

Give a Helping Hand


Cleveland is holding a dinner and auction for long time residents Lester and Shawna Minchey on March 23. Items for the auction can be dropped off at the Cleveland Elementary school during school hours. Easter Egg Hunt


Cleveland Town will hold its Annual Easter Egg Hunt this year on March 23, at Noon. Preschool and elementary age children meet in front of the Town Hall. It’s fun! It’s free. Bring your baskets! Orangeville Republican Caucus


The Orangeville Republican Precinct #5 will meet to elect precinct officers, county delegates, state delegates, and election judges on March 25, at 7 p.m. at the Cottonwood Elementary cafeteria in Orangeville.

Huntington Republican Caucus


Huntington Precincts East (8) and West (9) will hold Caucus meetings at the Huntington Elementary on March 25 at 7 p.m.

Dinosaurs are History


The Emery County Historical Society will feature guest speaker Ramal Jones, who will give a new look at dinosaurs on March 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the Museum of the San Rafael. For information on the society, call President JoAnn Behling at 384-2666.

Passover-Pasch

World of the Wild


Utah’s Hogel Zoo’s call for the “wild” is going out once again to all Utah artists with a 9th Annual Art Show taking place now until April 14. Catch this “World of the Wild” exhibit and see your favorite animals at the same time.

Getting Ready Early


We are getting ready for Peach Days at the Emery County Care and Rehabilitation Center. If you would like to be on our team and donate your talents, we would love to have you.
