James and Delaina Nielsen announce the marriage of their daughter Sharla D. to Josiah Firsteen McCarty, son of Merle McCarty and Rebecca Warner of Solano, Calif., in the Timpanogas LDS Temple.
Sharla is receiving her associates in science at Utah Valley State College and then will start a cosmetology internship in the fall.
Josiah served a fulltime mission in South Sydney, Australia, and is currently enrolled at UVSC.
A reception will be held in their honor on May 11 in the Ferron LDS Church, 200 North State, from 7- 9 p.m.

Gabriel G. Burnham
Gabriel G. Burnham and Crystal Dawn Pittman have chosen to be married in the Manti LDS Temple on May 10. Later that evening an open house will be held in their honor at the Helper Utah Stake Center located at 150 Ridgeway in Helper from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Gabe served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the South Dakota Rapid City area. Since coming home he has attended the College of Eastern Utah, and will now continue his education at Steven Henagers College of Business in Provo.
Crystal has been attending college at CEU and will now continue her education at the Dallas Roberts College of Cosmetology in Provo.
Parents of the groom are Gary and Charlene Burnham of Helper.
Parents of the bride are Sharon and Geary Oaks of Roosevelt and Emmitt and Sheryl Pittman of Grand Junction, Colo.

Mr. and Mrs. Scott L. Jensen announce the marriage of their daughter Mindy Lynn to Paul R. Brown, son of Phil and Janet Brown of Price.
They will be married on May 10 in the Manti LDS Temple.
A reception honoring the newlyweds will be presented May 11 from 6 -8 p.m. at the Price Stake Center.
Mindy is a graduate of Carbon High. She is attending the College of Eastern Utah and has worked for Dr. Bailey for the past two years.
Paul is a graduate of Carbon High. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia area mission. He is employed at Peczuh Printing and is also attending CEU.
The couple will make their home in Price.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Holdaway announce the marriage of their daughter Melanie Ann to Bryan Jay Bernard, son of Debbie and Vallyn Bernard. Melanie is also the daughter of the late Carolyn Holdaway.
An open house will be held in their honor on May 11 at the Huntington Stake Center from 6-8 p.m.

Brenda is a graduate of Emery High and a graduate of nursing at Davis Applied Technology College.
Brenda and Josh will make their home in Denver, Colo. Where Josh will be attending Aviation Mechanics School.
