PRICE – Jack E. Judi, 80, passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002 at his home in Price.
He was born April 5, 1922 in Clear Creek, to John and Ina Hakola Judi. He married Mary Lucille Oviatt June 16, 1944. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving with his wife in the Manti LDS Temple as stake employment specialists and as church coordinators at the Parkdale Care Center. He also served as an assistant ward clerk and as secretary to the High Priest group.
Jack loved his family and devoted his life to them. He had a unique ability to understand electrical and mechanical principles and he readily applied this talent in his work in the coal mining industry and in helping neighbors and family. He was instrumental in developing a meter for testing high voltage electrical cable splices that was patented and put into use in the mining industry.
Survived by wife of 58 years, Lucille; daughter, Shaunna (Bruce) Haslam, South Weber; son, Vaughn O. (Marianne) Judi, Castle Dale; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Becky Poglajen; son, Terry Judi; grandson, Terry Haslam; and sister, Selma Smith.
Friends may call for a visitation at the Fausett Mortuary in Price Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Price 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 545 East 400 North Wednesday, Aug. 7, at noon. A viewing will be held at the church prior to the services from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Interment, Price City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary, Price.

Reva Reid


ORANGEVILLE – On Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, our loving mother and grandmother, Reva Scow Reid, left this life to join her beloved husband Walt (1909-1973).
She was born Dec. 31, 1914 in Mayfield to Conrad and Linda Scow.
She married Walter H. Reid June 8, 1936 in Manti. They had two sons, Vaughn and Lynn.
She was always joking and full of fun. She was raised in Mayfield and was very proud of her Danish heritage. She was an excellent seamstress, cook and gardener and was known for her exceptional baking. Reva was very close to her father and was proud of how he was able to keep his family of eight children together after the loss of their mother. He taught them all to work very hard. She had been active in the LDS Church relief society.
She is survived by two sons, Vaughn W. and June Reid and Lynn H. and Annette Reid, all of Orangeville; grandchildren, Nancy Kay and Tom Rockenbach, Linda and Bob Ririe, Amy Reid, Christy and Donald Danner, Lisa and Alonzo Miller, Ted and Amy Reid, Denise, Lyndsay and Candace Reid and 13 great-grandchildren. Reva was preceded in death by parents; siblings, Rhoda, Arvon, Ernst, Lloyd, Ivan, Dorothy and Moyle; and grandson, Walter Lee.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1 p.m., at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial, Orangeville cemetery.

Jennifer Tweddell


HOTCHKISS, Colo. – Our beloved Jennifer Amber Tweddell, 22, died July 29, 2002 in Hotchkiss, Colo. as the result of an automobile accident.
She was born July 14, 1980 in Price to Roger and Lori Snider Nielsen. She married Wade Tweddell April 14, 2001 in Price. There were living in Cedaredge, Colo., at the time of the accident.
She was raised in Price and graduated from Carbon High School in 1998 and CEU in 1999, both with high honors. She attended and certified at the Utah College of Message Therapy as a massage therapist.
Jennifer was very bright and outgoing. She enjoyed bowling, and had a great passion for the outdoors, including camping, fishing and float tubing.
She loved her family who will miss her most, including her husband, Wade Tweddell, Cedaredge, Colo.; parents, Roger and Lori Snider Nielsen, Price; Alan and Jeannette Tweddell, Hotchkiss, Colo.; sister, Sarah Nielsen, Price; paternal grandparents, Ted C. and Ellen Nielsen, Huntington; niece and nephew, Logan and Markita Tweddell, Price; brother and sister-in-law, Andy and Suzie Tweddell, Price; sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and Rusty Lofley, Hotchkiss, Colo; and niece Hailey Lofley, Hotchkiss, Colo. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Virgil and Larue Snider, Don and Virginia Barham; an uncle, Michael Nielsen; and cousins, Louis and AJ Nielsen.
Friends called for a visitation Friday, Aug. 2, from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. at the mortuary chapel. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
