Members of the Emery County Search and Rescue came together with the Carbon County Search and Rescue and deputies from the Emery County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 24 for Life Flight training. The training was held at the new Emery Country Public Safety Complex. Salt Lake City Life Flight Helicopter taught the search and rescue teams how to use the winch to extract accident victims in remote desert and mountain locations. This is one of the many tools used by the Emery County Search and Rescue Team.Family members also came to observe the training and to gain understanding of what the members of the search and rescue teams do when they are called out on an emergency.
