Pirates end baseball season

The Green River baseball team ended their season last Thursday with a double header with Piute. Piute won the first game 4 to 3 and Green River won the second game 5 to 1. If we would have won both games we would have had a three way tie for third place and a 3 game region playoff games to be held in Panquitch against Piute and Valley High Schools Saturday for the right to play Waterford in the Quarter finals on Monday. Green River ended the season with a 9 win 7 loss record.
Gabrin Ekker threw a four hitter in the first game. Kedric Bayles hit two homeruns and went 4 for 4. In the second game Lance Richards threw a one hitter striking out nine and again Kedric Bayles was the big hitter going 2 for 3.
