Horses
Gentle Giants
Moseying from tire to tire,
The sun scorching their soft fur.
Munching on the hay and corn,
Clomp, clomp
Chomp, chomp
The slight smell of manure.
The sky starts to cloud,
Blackness covers the ground,
And it starts to pour
As I watch, they start to get restless
Jumping and bounding
Frisky
Kicking their unshod hooves into the air
Cooling relief from the heat of the day
They roll in the mud
Putting a thick layer of muck
Across the once silky, soft fur
Now drenched and mud soaked
Standing into a dead run
The muscles
Twinging and flexing as they move.
Floating over the ground
Like Gentle Giants
