80th Birthday
The children of Leah Huff Jones will host an open house for all family and friends in honor of her 80th birthday on Feb. 8 from 3-5 p.m. at the Huntington Senior Center.
Leah was born Jan. 22, 1923 to John and Martha Marshall in Morhland. She is the 14th of 15 children. She has two sisters still living, Neva Lake in Ferron and Wilma Abernathy in Canada.
Leah married Charles Bernell Huff on May 27, 1941. Together they had five children: Karen (Stan) Truman, Ferron; JoAnn (Brent) Arnold, Santa Clara; Linda (Dan) Cowell, Canyon Co., Calif.; Gary (Christine) Huff, Carson City, Nev.; and Susan (Scott) Davis, Price. Bernell died in 1977. She later married Jewell Jones. Together they served in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana Mission. Jewell died in 1983. After his death, she served a second mission in San Diego, Calif.
Leah has 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
