Becky Bunnell, left, and Lindsay Kay, right, are happy to be able to offer new services at their salon.

Becky Hurdsman Bunnell is beginning a new business venture in Huntington. She is taking her Nail Emporium business which catered to the nail needs of the community and is turning it into a full service salon with Lindsay Kay as her manager in hair design. The business is located at 43 South Main Street in Huntington, just north of Castle Service. To celebrate the business change an open house will be held on July 4 from 1-3 p.m.
The salon features full hair services styling and cuts, tanning, pedicures, massages, spa body treatments, sugaring, ear piercing, hair and nail supplies, body gels, bath salts and Ashman Candles. The salon also features handmade soaps, salt scrubs and body jewelry. Permanent make-up is also coming soon.
Bunnell said, “Walk-in customers will be welcome at our salon. We will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and special appointments can be arranged after hours as well. When people work all day, it’s hard to find time for a hair cut and we want to accommodate those men and women who can’t arrange to come in during regular hours. We will have three full time stylists and four nail technicians, plus a licensed massage therapist. Our tanning bed is a large 32 bulb bed.
“We will open for business on July 8. At our open house we will be giving out free gift bags to the first 25 people. We want everyone to come in and meet our staff and take advantage of our free drawings and tour the new shop.
“I have nine years experience as a nail technician and I am a licensed instructor and currently teach at the nail program at CEU. Our motto is “Pampering is our Passion,” and we plan on having the friendliest shop around to serve Emery County. We will have spa packages available where you can come in and spend the whole day being pampered. You can get the works, hair, nails, massage, pedicure and we’ll even serve you lunch. You can just get away from it all for a day. We also have relaxing aroma therapy. We have bridal packages available for the bride and her bridesmaids where we’ll do their hair.
“One new thing we are trying is birthday parties, where a young girl and her friends can come in and have their hair and nails done and have a fashion show and a pedicure. We can’t serve cake but the birthday girl will get a balloon bouquet. We think that sounds fun for a new party idea. We will offer all the latest hair styles and we are excited to be here,” said Bunnell.
