Seth Donovan Oveson


Melanie Marisa Garvin, daughter of Daniel and Linda Garvin will be married to Seth Donovan Oveson, son of Dennis and Debra Cox and the late Richard Oveson. They will be married April 6, in the Manti LDS Temple. Receptions will be presented in their honor on April 9 from 7-9 p.m. at the Price 7th/8th LDS Ward building and April 10 from 7-9 p.m. at the West Hills LDS Chapel in Cedar City.
Melanie is a graduate of Carbon High and College of Eastern Utah. She served in the Guatemala-Guatemala City south mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Seth is a graduate of Canyonview High and served in the Tegucigalpa Honduras LDS mission. The couple will make their home in Cedar City where they will continue their education at Southern Utah University.

Yoshiko Nonaka

Mr. and Mrs. Haruo Nonaka of Hiroshima, Japan announce the marriage of their daughter, Yoshiko Nonaka, to Jason Wells, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wells of Wellington, and Fred Bullington of Bowling Green, Ky.
The couple will be married April 2 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception in the newlyweds honor will be presented that evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Wellington 1st/4th Ward building.
Yoshiko is currently attending Brigham Young University. Jason is a graduate of Carbon High and College of Eastern Utah, and is currently attending Utah Valley State College. Jason completed a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Japan.
The couple will reside in Provo.

Brandy Frederick

Ryan Powel


Ryan Powell and Brandy Frederick will be married on April 3. The ceremony will be followed by a luncheon with family and friends in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City. No formal reception will be held.Ryan is the son of Gregg and Darcey Powell of Cleveland. Brandy is the daughter of Kim and Loretta Frederick of Providence.

Jamill Wakefield

Jordan Wakefield and Traci Wakefield announce the marriage of their daughter, Jamill Dena Wakefield, to Frankie Lee Vasquez Tapia, son of Juan and Judy Tapia, on April 3 at the Carbon County Country Club. A reception will follow the ceremony, from 5-11 p.m.
The bride is a full-time mother to their 10-month old daughter Taci, and the groom is employed full time at Elk Horn Construction in Price. The family will make their home in Price.
