Tiffany Frisbee, first singles, is sitting third in the region.

The Emery High tennis team is battling their way through region play to improve their seeding at the region tournament. According to Coach Tom Hansen, “We are better than I expected. The returning girls are doing well and the newcomers are really improving everyday.”
Currently first singles player Tiffany Frisbee is in third place in region and challenging the girls ahead of her each time they play. First doubles team of Whitney Erickson and Eve Guymon are doing the same. Second doubles team of Callie Seeley and Alexis Swasey are in second place.
Four underclassmen are battling each week to represent Emery in second singles and third singles. Malory Quick, Lacey Erickson, Darian Huntsman and Jessica Hill have each taken their turn in the rotation this season.
The team is looking forward to the region meet on Oct. 8 at Snow College and the state meet the following weekend in St George.
