Lucille Holloway


Lucille Thankful (Woodworth) Holloway, age 93 died Oct. 5, 2004 in Delta, Colo. She was born Aug. 10, 1911 in Fruita, Colo. to Boylston and Gertrude (Bowman) Woodworth. Raised in Glade Park in Grand Junction, Colo., she later moved to Green River. She married Albert L. Holloway.
Lucille enjoyed crocheting and talking, gardening and talking, fishing and talking, playing Canasta and most of all, talking. Her most favorite thing was to make cinnamon rolls and homemade bread. She was a devoted member of the Green River Bible Church for over 50 years.
Lucille is survived by her daughters, Norma Jean (R.E.) Norton of Cedaredge, Colo., and Verna Perrin of Green River; three sisters and two brothers; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, son Marvin A. and daughter Evelou.
Funeral services were held Sat. Oct. 9, 2004 at 3 p.m. at the Green River Bible Church in Green River. Interment in the Elgin Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Fausett Mortuary in Price.

Robert L. Liddil


CASTLE DALE-Robert L. Liddil, age 72, passed away Oct. 7, 2004 in Ferron. He was born Nov. 8, 1932 in Brazil, Ind. to Oscar and Iva Smith Liddil. He married Kay Stover, later divorced. He then married Rachelle Williams Jackson July 20, 1985 in Sheridan, Ind., later solemnized in the Chicago LDS Temple.
He graduated with a masters degree from Indiana State University and taught music for a time, after which he worked as a machinist. He loved creating logic problems and had some of them published. He also enjoyed writing mystery stories.
Robert is survived by his wife Rachelle of Castle Dale, children and step children: Kate, Natalie, Ruth, Karen, Kelly Ann, Kimberly, Robert, Karrie, Michael, Daniel and David; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and twin brother Edward, who died at birth.
Funeral services will be held Tues., Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. in the Castle Dale Stake Center where a viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Castle Dale City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.

Nina Blackburn


EMERY-Nina Anderson Blackburn, age 85, passed away Oct. 10, 2004 in Ferron. She was born July 18, 1919 in Emery to Niels P. and Annie Louise Abelin Anderson. She married Elbert T. Blackburn Oct. 7, 1935 in Castle Dale, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
Nina derived happiness from the simple things in life. She excelled at quilt making, all her children and grandchildren having received a quilt made with love in every stitch. She loved working in her yard where she raised beautiful roses. As a member of the LDS Church, Nina held numerous callings. Above all, she had a deep and abiding love for her family, by whom she will be deeply missed.
Nina is survived by her children: Morris and Phyllis of Emery, Louise McKean of Salt Lake City, and Karla and Everett Ekker of Price, nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by one sister, Elda Tuft. Preceded in death by her husband, children Sheldon and Peggy, one grandchild and one great-grandchild, and 12 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Fri., Oct. 15, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the Emery LDS Chapel where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Emery Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
