On Oct. 26, the Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Emery County Sheriff’s Office dispatch regarding an overdue hunter who was camping below Duck Fork reservoir.
The overdue hunter was supposed to return over Skyline Drive and back to Salt Lake, but with the snow would not be able to do so.
Sanpete County said they would try to get through with a snow cat and snowmobiles but thought he might try to go back down the Emery County side.
Randy Lake and Shaun Bell responded with 4-wheelers. The overdue subject was driving a 91 Chev. club cab which was maroon in color and possibly pulling a camp trailer.
The searchers located Sergay Liston, 67, coming down Canyon Road heading home.
Dispatch notified Sanpete County that the hunter had been located.
