KaeLynn Winn displays a CD with her original clipart and designs.

KaeLynn Winn was the featured artist for November on the pcCrafter website. Winn is a Ferron artist who operates her own small business called Petals & Paint. She does custom orders of floral arrangements and wood crafts. Wynn is excited about her latest endeavor which features a collection of CDs with Winn’s original design work. The CDs offer a variety of designs which are homespun and down to earth and easy to use.
Winn says her designs can be used for many different projects. Her designs can be used to create original scrapbook pages which can be used over and over. “You can create your own pages and use the designs that create the look you are trying to achieve and it’s so easy. Images can also be used for card making. You can also make memory crafts. You can get different types of paper and also a printable canvas that you can create quilts and various other crafts. You can use my designs for background images for scrapbook pages and you can also design your own stickers, magnets and address labels. The possibilities are endless, just use your imagination.”
The website where Winn was featured is pcCrafter.com. You can order the CDs from the website and Winn’s CD is also available locally. The site features two products one is the downloadable images and the CDs from artists. pcCrafter is a subsidiary of Provo Craft and was founded primarily to market the clip art and themed products. Each CD contains full scenes with detailed backgrounds, frames and coordinating elements. Each of the images contain three formats; they include black and white line art, blended color art and hand painted art.
Winn became interested in doing illustration for scrapbook products and told a friend of this interest. One thing led to another and the friend put Winn in contact with her brother-in-law who worked for Provo Craft. Winn is anxious for people to check it out and explore the options available with her product. Winn has always been an artist and is interested in seeing her work expand and become noticed. Some of her artwork has been used on the local channel 26. She wants people to learn what’s available and how easy it is to use. Winn’s product also allows the user to use layering when working on a project. She encourages people to try the product, it is more efficient and convenient to have your designs on the computer and you can print them out as needed. You can also mix and match pieces from different scenes to go with the image you’re trying to create. Winn says it is easy to create your own custom designs and the pcCrafter is always there with technical support from their help desk.
Winn lives in Ferron with her husband and three children.
pcCrafter is an evolved dream that started over nine years ago with a company named Stratus Design. From there it developed into pcCrafter in 2000 when the original 20 HugWare CD’s were launched in Chicago through Provo Craft. A few months later they released the very first Creatable. A year after that in September 2001 the pcHugClub was born.
Since then, pcCrafter has been established as the leader in craft and scrapbooking based clipart.
The CDs are both PC and Mac compatible.
