Cleveland Fire Chief Greg Oliver serves the salad at dinner.

The Cleveland Volunteer fire department hosted a fund-raiser spaghetti dinner recently. The firefighters fund several things throughout the year in Cleveland.
One of the items is the band for the Cleveland Days dance. They also provide a fire education program at Cleveland Elementary.
Another project that the firefighters take an active and financial role in is the reading program at the elementary. The funds provided by the fire department buy books and prizes for the reading program at the school.
“This spaghetti dinner will become an annual affair,” said Greg Oliver, fire chief. “The only difference will be the time it is held. It will probably come earlier in the year next year.”
Dinner and entertainment were provided by the firefighters. The group ate, and then everyone sang Christmas carols. The decorations on the tables were very appropriate being their helmets, flower filled.
