Youth Conference coming to Ferron

Castle Valley Youth Leadership Summit
The Castle Valley Youth Leadership Summit will be held in Ferron at the LDS Church on the hill and the Senior Citizen Center, on April 16. Check in will start at 8:30 a.m. in the senior center with a pancake breakfast following at 9 a.m.
From 10 a.m.-1 p.m., events will move to the LDS church building on the hill. At 10 a.m. sharp, instructions will be given and the first round of workshops will begin at 10:30 a.m. Workshops will include: Trust or Bust, High School Do’s and Don’ts, Geek to Sheik, Set it and Follow Through, Toke it and Choke it, Rah Rah Ree Kick’em in the Knee, To Be or Not To Be, and Precipice of Wonder.
Then from 1:30-2:30 p.m., lunch will be served. The second round of workshops will be held from 2:30-4:15 p.m.
At 4:30 p.m. will be the culmination of the several month project known as Battle of the Towns. Following the announcement of the winner, everyone will participate in a variety of games.
Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:30 p.m., followed by the keynote speaker John Bytheway. After the keynote address, entertainment by the vocal band T-Minus-5 will begin. All youth from 14-18 are welcome to attend. Youth 12-13 are invited to participate in the evening activities. Registration forms are available at schools, city halls, or youth advisors.
