Delma Nick


PRICE-Delma Cornelius Nick, age 87, passed away July 5, 2005 at Castleview Hospital in Price while surrounded by her loving family. She was born Dec. 22, 1917 in Perry, Fla., to William Barto and Della Deal Cornelius. Married Serfino Leonard Nick Feb. 13, 1945 in Tallahassee, Fla.
Delma was a very generous, loving and thoughtful person who was greatly loved by her family, friends and co-workers. She always made time to listen to anyone in need and put everyone else first.
She was a lifelong resident of California, where she served as the deputy director of administrative services for the department of human resources in Merced, Calif. As the director for Merced, she was honored by the governor for her outstanding work and 27 years of dedicated service.
She was an avid animal lover and she enjoyed flying with her husband.
Delma will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survived by her husband, Serf Nick, Price; sister, Lois Green; brother, Willard Cornelius, both of Cairo, Ga.; nephew Bart Fields, San Antonio, Texas; Sisters-in-law, Kerry Fister, Paulmina New, both of Price; brothers-in-law, Louie (Elaine) Nick, Price; Martin (Charlotte) Nick, San Jose, Calif.; many loving nieces, nephews and longtime friends in Merced, Calif. Preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Funeral service was held Sat. July 9, 10 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, 223 East Main, Price. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.

Myrna Drolc


CARBON COUNTY-Myrna DeeAnn Drolc, 68, passed away July 7, 2005, in Elmo. She was born June 19, 1937 in Georgetown, Idaho to George “Ervin” and Jennie Crossley Chandler. She married Robert Gene Drolc Sept. 8, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nev., later solemnized in the Manti Temple.
Mom was a long time resident of Carbon County, living in Helper, East Carbon, and Price. She was widowed at a young age and raised her three children to adulthood admirably. Mom kept busy by painting posters, crocheting, and reading. She was a member of the LDS Church.
Survived by children Kevin (Janice) of Price; Cindy (Leonard) Bell of Cleveland; Bryan (Tonia) of Thatcher, Ariz.; grandchildren, Robert (Susie) Bell, Soleil and Brecquelyn Drolc, Tyler and Shayn Drolc, Leonard M. Bell; great-granddaughter Kendra Bell; and brother Rex (Arlene) Chandler of Lyman, Wyo. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant son Robert Michael. The family is appreciative of the many friends and family who helped care for mom over the years.
Mom’s wishes were to have a graveside service. It will be held Tues. July 12, 2005 at 10 a.m. at the Mountain View Cemetery in Helper. A viewing was held Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary.
