The San Rafael Pro Rodeo is in its seventh year. For the past six years Desertview Federal Credit Union has been a community and corporate leader in bringing this event to Emery County through sponsorship, advertising and volunteerism.
During the last six years they have been sponsors of family night, rodeo event sponsors and a co-title sponsor.
In 2005, Desertview in their efforts to make this rodeo bigger and better than ever; has stepped forward and signed a five year agreement as title sponsor.
This creates the name change to Desertview Pro Rodeo.
In 2005, Emery County Recreation entered into a five year agreement with Sankey Pro Rodeo company to continue as stock contractor for the Pro Rodeo. During negotiations with Sankey Pro Rodeo it became apparent that a name change was necessary for the continuity of the event.
Desertview Federal Credit Union stepped up to make the change possible and thus, Desertview Pro Rodeo became a reality.
Desertview Federal Credit Union is a member owned financial institution solely controlled by the people of Emery County.
There are five board of directors that set the direction for the future of the credit union and its members.
The credit union is committed to making the lives of its members better. Desertview is a good neighbor, it participates with the Emery County Fair, Desertview Pro Rodeo and was a huge influence in bringing the free outdoor concert with Nashville recording artists, Highway 101 to Emery County. The concert is on Aug. 6 at 7 p.m.
Desertview Federal Credit Union continues to grow and serve the county well and is always looking to provide new services to the customers of Emery County.
