The Seventh District Judicial Nominating Commission has scheduled a meeting for Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. in Price at the Carbon County Court Complex, 149 East 100 South. The purpose of the meeting is to nominate candidates to fill a vacancy that will result when Judge Bryce K. Bryner retires in January 2006.
The beginning of the meeting is open to the public at which time commission members will take public comment. The nominating commissions will not take testimony on individual applicants.
Following the public hearing, the meeting will be closed to allow commission members to begin the process of selecting a minimum of five candidates whose names will be forwarded to Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. to consider for appointment.
