Chad William Larsen
Chad William Larsen, 64, passed away at his home in Lawrence on Oct. 22, 2005. He was born Sept. 25, 1941 in Murray to Odell and Lucille Ewell Larsen. He married Sandra Park, later divorced. He then married Barbara T. Troester on Nov. 4, 1967 in Las Vegas.
Chad enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, horse racing, roping, boating and mechanics and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survived by his wife, Barbara T. Larsen of Lawrence, children; Shane (Colleen) Larsen, Shaunda Larsen both of Lawrence, Sandra Tanner, Kenneth, Korinne and Kelly all of Salt Lake City, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sisters; Marilyn (Tom) Godfrey of Haui, Hawaii, and Dixie Kirgan of Mesquite, Nev.; brother, Richard Lamar Larsen of Lawrence. Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Sandra Kay Larsen, brother Kenneth Larsen and sister Shirley Carpenter.
Graveside service will be held on Sat., Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Draper.
David Gentry Thompson
David Gentry Thompson, 27, passed away in his sleep on Oct. 20, 2005 at his home in Logan. He was born Jan. 1, 1978 in American Fork to David George and Madelei Williams Thompson. He married Brionne Gayle Burt on Dec. 30, 2003 in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple.
Gentry was extremely dedicated to his educational pursuits. In May of 2001 he graduated from the College of Eastern Utah; and in May 2005, a Bachelors of Arts from Brigham Young University, a theater studies major. In the fall of 2005 he began working towards his Masters of Arts at Utah State University. He had a great love for the arts and was pursuing a career in theater. At the time of his passing, he was rehearsing to perform in Shakespeare’s Macbeth. He was a devoted member of the LDS church and had served as a missionary for two years in the Nebraska-Omaha Mission.
Gentry was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. His life was his family and friends.
Gentry is survived by his wife, Brionne; parents, David and Madelei Thompson; and his sisters, Eden (Jared) Steffey, Lara (Jacob) Barnett, and Megan (Jarett) Gilbert. He was adored by his nephews, Landon and Jesse; and nieces, Kimberlyn, Alexis, and Rebekah, whom he dearly loved.
Services were held on Mon., Oct. 24 at noon in the LDS Stake Center on Main Street in Castle Dale. Friends called on Friday evening from 7-9 at the Fausett Mortuary, 710 North Center Street, Castle Dale, and at the stake center, one hour and a half prior to services. Interment in the Castle Dale Cemetery.
Meg Smith
EAST CARBON-Anna Margaret “Meg” Smith, age 73, passed away peacefully Sun. Oct. 16, 2005 at her home.
She was born Aug. 13, 1932 in Loudon, Tenn. to Joe and Pearl Lane Courtney. She was raised, “in the country,” near Greenback, Tenn. amidst a large and loving family.
She continued her education at Tennessee Wesleyan, The University of Tennessee, and was a nursing student in Norfolk, Va., when she married the love of her life, Wesley E. Smith on March 31, 1954.
Meg’s greatest love was her husband and family and they knew it. Her selfless devotion, generosity and unfailing support made her not only the best wife, mother and grandmother, but our best friend as well.
Her favorite place was the cabin at Trout Lake. The beauty of the area being a reflection of the beauty of her soul. She loved sports, especially football. Immediately after attending a live Broncos football game in Denver, she was ready to go again. She was always ready to go, Meg loved to travel. She enjoyed many trips with family and friends.
When home, she read, worked jigsaw puzzles, gardened and watched football. She enjoyed the Christian fellowship and friendship of the good people at the East Carbon Community Church.
Survived by her son, David Smith, Colorado Springs, Colo; daughter, Helen (Rick) Nielson, Maybell, Colo; grandchildren, Star Hecke, Courtney Smith; brothers and sisters, Dolly Alexander, Norfolk, Va; Kat Hudson, Frank Hughs, Jr; both of Knoxville, Tenn; Clinton Courtney, Maryville, Tenn.
Preceded in death by parents, husband, Wesley Smith; brothers and sisters, Juanita Courtney Henry, Joe Kenny, Nardy, Dutch and Ted Courtney; and Buster Hughs.
Memorial service was held on Oct. 22 at 3 p.m. at the East Carbon Community Church under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.

Anita Marie Arballo
SUNNYSIDE- Anita Marie Arballo, age 45, passed away Oct. 23, 2005 at her home in Sunnyside.
Born Nov. 3 1959 in Beverly Hills, Calif. to Arvid and Emma Bea McCloud Theorine. Married George Arballo Aug. 4, 1997 in Las Vegas.
Anita had a love for life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends, swimming, playing darts and eating spaghetti. She had a great love for roses and her special friend Cheyenne Marie Colcord.
Survived by her mother, Bea Callor, Price; husband, George Arballo, Sunnyside; brother, Jim Theorine, Price; sister, Pam Napier, Biloxi, Miss.; aunts and uncles, Tom (Norma) Boralho, Sun City, Calif.; Murel (Marie) Thomas, Oreville, Calif.; Thurman (Jeanne) McCloud, Winchester, Calif.; Lil McCloud, Coos Bay, Ore.; nieces and nephews, Billy Colcord, Salt Lake City; Iki Theorine, Biloxi, Miss.; James Theorine II; Malia Theorine; Juan Theorine, all of Price; Chris Colcord; Alex Colcord, Gulfport, Miss.; two great nieces and two great nephews. Preceded in death by her father Avid Theorine and step father Jack “Papa” Callor.
