A unique opportunity for individuals ages 15 – 22 years is coming soon. This is the Entrepreneur Camp that is being sponsored by the Emery County Economic Development Employer Council.
The purpose of the camp is to teach young entrepreneurs how to develop and market a business plan, determine pricing, implement production strategies, and look at available financing.
The camp will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays during the month of June. The session times will be 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon. The first session begins on June 5.
The cost is $175. This includes books, handouts, basic Excel spreadsheet, access to marketing research on www.jjhill.org, and online support for the book and software. Some scholarships will be available but will only be determined after registration has been completed. The Department of Workforce Services has funding available for attendees who meet certain eligibility criteria. The class is open to anyone ages 15 – 22 years old. The instructor will be Ethan Migliori from the Southeast Utah Applied Technology College and the Business and Technical Assistance Center of Southeastern Utah AOG.

The camp will be held in Castle Dale at a site location to be announced. The topics to be presented: are you an entrepreneur?, business plan overview, planning process, financials introduction: how banks work and forecasts, marketing: customers and competition, marketing: price, product, placement, promotion, financials: cash flow, putting it all together.
