Missing person Yesica Noemi Saban is with Sandra Merary Torres. Yesica was born May 10, 1992. She is a hispanic female, 5 foot, weights 160 lb., has long black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen on May 22 wearing a t-shirt with blue jeans. She has text messaged her family and friends that she has been abducted from Orem. Wakeboard Tournament


Huntington State Park will be hosting an IWA Wakeboard Tournament at the lake from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on June 3. During this time there will be a no wake rule in effect for the entire reservoir, please plan accordingly. Bleachers will be set up prior to the event for viewing. Park entrance fees are required. Single Adults ATV Ride


A single adults ATV ride will be held on June 17 at the Mayor Park, State Street in Ferron, at 9:30 a.m. If you are 35 to 65 years old come for a great day on Ferron Mountain. Bring a lunch. Catch a Cure For Cancer


The annual Catch a Cure for Cancer fishing tournament will be held on June 24 at Starvation Reservoir. All proceeds go to Camp Hobe, an annual summer camp for children with cancer and their siblings. For more information on to www.catchacureforcancer.com

Emery Summer Volleyball Camps


Snow College coaching staff and Emery High coaches will hold a volleyball camp on June 8-10 at Emery High School from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. for kids in grades 8-12. Registration will be held on June 8 from 9-9:30 a.m. The cost is $90 per player.Emery High coaches and team members will will hold a volleyball camp on June 13-16 from 9- 10:30 a.m. at the Emery High School for children in grades 4-7. Cheerleading Camp


The United Cheerleading Association will be coming to Emery County on July 12 to put on a one day cheerleading camp. The camp will be for children 5 years old through junior high age. The cost is $50. Contact Becky at 435-687-2632.

Haircuts in Huntington


Huntington City Youth Council will be doing a community service project for Locks of Love on June 10. Everyone wishing to donate their hair is welcome. Hairstylists will be on hand to style the newly cut hair at no charge. Let your hair grow until June 10. Permed and colored hair is OK, no bleached hair.

Summer Storytime at Orangeville Library


Orangeville Library is having lots of fun things this summer. Along with storytime each Thursday, young readers can earn their own library card by reading 100 pages for each year of their age. Storytime will be held at 10:30 a.m. and the activities are: June 8-reptiles do the strangest things; June 15-Lambchop jumps into the story; June 22-read with Stockton; June 29-pet show; July 6-maybe you should be a vet; July 13-catch it at the library; and July 20-wildlife at the library. Castle Country Horse Show Association


Will be having show dates on June 10, July 1 and 22, Aug. 13 and Sept. 2. Registration is at 8 a.m. and the show starts at 9 a.m. $5 per class or $40 for entire show. Basketball Camps


Ray Giacoletti will be having summer basketball camps at the University of Utah on June 12-15, open to boys and girls entering 3-12 grades. He will also be having a junior Ute camp on July 17-20 for children entering kindergarten-third grade; an overnight camp July 31- Aug. 3, for 5-12 grades, and team camp on June 21-24 for all high school students. Workshop Offered for Educators


A two day workshop on Utah’s wetlands and forest resources. It is offered to formal and non-formal educators interested in learning new methods and curriculum that are effective. It will be held June 5-6 at Circleville Elementary (300 South Center Street, Circleville). The workshop will be from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. The cost will be $15 per day. Hunter Safety Class


A hunter safety class will be held May 30- June 2 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day at the Emery County Recreation Center. For ages 11 and up. You must pre-register by May 26 at the Rec Center, 75 South 400 East, Castle Dale. For more info call the Rec Center at 381-2108.

Senior Beginners Line Dancing


Come get a little exercise and a lot of fun. Every Thursday and learn the very basics from Kitty Larsen starting May 25 at 10 a.m. at the Castle Dale Senior Center. The class is free. Call 381-2422.

Miss Cleveland

Farm Service Agency


Nominations for candidates to run for the Farm Service Agency county committee election will be accepted from June 15- Aug. 1. Ballots will be mailed to eligible voters by Nov. 3 and ballots must be returned by Dec. 4 to the FSA county office. New committee members and alternates will be installed on Jan. 1, 2007.

OHV Advisory Council

Emery Spartan Basketball Camp

Veterans of Foreign Wars


A field service officer from the Veterans of Foreign Wars will be at the Price Workforce Service Center on June 22 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. This is a free service to assist veterans, widows and dependents in understanding and applying for rightful VA benefits.

Wrestling Sponsors


The Emery High wrestling team is looking for sponsors for their wrestling team. Attending tournaments throughout the year is expensive but necessary to add to the strength of the team. Produced Water Workshop


The workshop will enhance understanding of opportunities and challenges involved in converting produced waters to beneficial use and how to get energy and water for the price one. For more information go to www.cwrri.colostate.edu.

Archaeology Camp and Field School


A field school will be held in Range Creek on June 19-23 to 9-12 grade students. Scholarships will be available and the space is limited to six students. Cost is $150. For more information, contact Patsy Stoddard at 381-2431.

Dinosaur Paleontology Camp


A Dinosaur Paleontology Camp will be held on June 19-23 at the CEU Bone Preparation Lab and Price River Quarry Site. The workshop is designed for incoming 10 through 12 grade high school students. Students have to have a 3.0 grade point average or a letter of recommendation from a science instructor. The cost is $200. Sign-ups will be held at the town halls in Ferron, Orangeville, Castle Dale, and Huntington.
