Kerry and Karla Powell of Huntington announce the marriage of their son, Kody Merlin Powell to Elisabeth Brigitte Broucke, daughter of Phillipe and Brigitte Broucke of Amiens, Normandy, France.
Kody is attending the University of Utah studying chemical engineering while employed by Fairchild Semi-Conductors of Salt Lake City. He served a two year mission in Johannesburg, South Africa. Elisabeth “Liz” studied music and psychology in France and is an interior design major at LDS Business College. She is currently working for MasterCard.
Kody is the grandson of Merlin and the late Jean Christiansen of Emery and Roma and the late Jay Powell of Huntington.
The couple will be married July 22 in the Salt Lake Temple. They will be honored at an informal reception July 22 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Cottonwood LDS Meetinghouse, 5913 South, Highland Drive, Salt Lake City.
The couple will reside in Salt Lake City.

Lindsey Brianne Robertson and Jerimiah Stuart Taylor will be married on July 22.
The bride’s parents are Becky and the late Brian Robertson of Huntington. The groom’s parents are Debbie and Albert Taylor of Bluffdale.
The couple will reside in the Salt Lake City area where they are both presently employed.
No formal reception will be held.
