Kindred Spirit will perform at the Museum of the San Rafael on Aug. 2 at 5 p.m.

Coming to the Emery County free pig dinner outdoors at the Museum of the San Rafael, Kindred Spirit will perform “Aug. 2 at 5 p.m. This group plays toe tapping “fiddlin” with a little old and a little new, and a little country.
Members of the band are Dave Van Wagoner, Raylene Van Wagoner, Jess Van Wagoner, Brent Boylan, Kami Mitsvotai and Starla Davis.
If you like Creedence, the Eagles, the Beatles and blues, you will enjoy this band. Kindred Spirit, a six piece local live country and rock band from Manti, will be performing at the Emery County Museum.
Known for their abilities to make a crowd happy, Kindred Spirit will be playing an assortment of music ranging from country hits like Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Randy Travis to rock like Eagles, Three Dog Night and Creedence.
“I have been playing music for more than 25 years and I’ve always loved this fine place and all it has to offer. A chance to put my musical skills to work along with other very talented musical artists is a dream” says lead singer and guitarist Dave Van Wagoner who also used to play with Dan Truman of Diamond Rio in his twenties. Dave’s wife, Raylene plays base and their son, Jess, plays fiddle, base and drums. Starla Davis plays drums and Brent Boylan plays keyboard and vocals. Kamy Mitsvoti, a Snow College student, plays vocals, harmony, mandolin and keyboard.
A six member band, Kindred Spirit is excited about playing in this area. “We have always dreamed of music as a creative outlet and we hope we can touch someone with the messages in the music we play as well as find opportunities to contribute our musical skills in the community.”
