Ben Grimes tells the historical society the process of his artwork.

The Emery County Historical Society welcomed Ben Grimes, local photographer to its monthly meeting. The meeting was held in conjunction with Grimes’ opening at the Museum of the San Rafael. A display of his work has been set up at the Museum of the San Rafael.
Grimes spent his childhood in Georgia doing what most young boys do, exploring. He was interested in all the living things in the area and did his best to get to know them. Later, he moved to Salt Lake City and discovered a whole new world of things to explore.
As he grew older, he chose a career that fit into his lifestyle of the outdoors. He became a surveyor and environmental engineer. His passion for nature has driven him to create the images he sees with his camera to share with others.
