Combined choirs Christmas concert

Allison Barham, Taylor Miller, Angela Kunz, Tiffany Stoddard, Tasha Larsen, and Shellby Snyder sing the solos for the song Rise and Follow That Star.

The Emery High choir, combined with the choirs from Canyon View Junior High and San Rafael Junior High presented a Christmas concert for family and friends on Dec. 6. The conductors for the event were David Bird and Hans Baantjer and the accompanists were Eileen Lofthouse and Marilee Cox.
The first choir to perform was the San Rafael seventh grade. They sang Ding Dong Merrily on High and Sing We All Noel. They were followed by the ladies choir from both junior highs. They performed Come and Sing and Santa, Bring my Baby Back. The mixed choir from San Rafael and Canyon View performed Rise up and Follow That Star. The soloists on that number were Allison Barham, Angela Kunz; Tiffany Stoddard, Tasha Larsen, Shellby Snyder and Taylor Miller. The combined choir also sang Let Us Rejoice Today.
The Emery High Concert Choir was next with, Come Sing, Come Dance and Grown-up Christmas List. The A Capella laides choir sang Angels We Have Heard on High and the Emery High combined A Capella choir sang The King’s Carols, E la don don, Verges Marcia and Riu, Riu, Chiu.
All choirs present combined for two numbers, Breath of Heaven and It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
A special number was rendered by the Fabulous Five consisting of Hans Baantjer, Mark Luce, Lance Wright, Eldon Carbine and Al Shakespaere.
The orchestra consisting of Carson Fillmore, Camille Fehlberg, Amy Lofley, Tanner Crawford, Tina Allred and Janet Tuttle joined the choir for the final song of Carols of the Night.
Bird gave each of the accompanists a poinsettia in appreciation for their service to the choirs.
