Debbie Sacco
CARBONVILLE-Our loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Debbie Lynn McKendrick Sacco, age 50, passed away at her home Feb. 27, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 6, 1956 in Price, Utah to Charles Sherman and Delpha L. Davis McKendrick. Married Rex L. Sacco, Dec. 2, 1972 at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Price.
Debbie had a great faith in the Lord, she read her Bible daily, and was a devout member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She served as the secretary of the Carbonville Democratic Precinct for 16 years, served as the first vice-president of the Utah Cattlewomen’s Association, and secretary of the Eastern Utah Cattle Growers Association. Debbie worked for the Carbon County School District as a bus driver for 10 years and as a bank teller and loan officer at Key Bank.
Debbie will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her warmth, friendship, and her endless pots of coffee. Debbie enjoyed working on the farm and she shared her gentle touch with the animals she nurtured. She loved to cook, crochet, sew, and most of all spend time with her family and friends.
Survived by her husband, Rex L. Sacco, wonderful daughters, Heidi (Steve) Grange, Bridget (Gene) Tullio; four grandchildren, Debra Marie Sacco Grange, Rex Eugene Tullio, Rhett Michael Tullio, Roper James Sacco Grange; brothers and sisters, Roy (Twila) McKendrick, Bonnie Milkovich, Norman McKendrick, Maxine (Robert) Pitts, Cecil (Bette) McKendrick, Billine (Raymond) Jones, Dixie (Tim) Warren, RaeDell Guptill; and many loving nieces and nephews who will miss her very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters, Barbara E. McKendrick and Maurine Spangler.
Funeral Mass, Sat., March 3, 2007, 10 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper. Vigil service, Friday evening 7 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Friday evening one hour prior to service. Committal service, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper.
Randy Topolovec
PRICE/SALT LAKE CITY – Randall Topolovec, “our MacGyver” found amazing courage to battle liver cancer, yet passed away on Feb. 26, 2007 with his family by his side.
Born on Feb. 28, 1951 in Price to Rudy and Harriet Bacon Topolovec. He married his college sweetheart, Kathy Radakovich 35 years ago.
A man of great integrity with an incredible work ethic, Randy dedicated his life to his profession and owned businesses in both Price and later Salt Lake for more than 40 years. He retired early to give his complete attention to his wife and family while battling cancer.
His life was full of success and fulfillment, enjoying the tranquility of their beautiful home and pool, riding motorcycles, fishing, traveling, driving their convertible, continuing his private pilot flying (as “TopRat,”) and tinkering on projects.
He leaves behind his wife; daughters, RaNae (Scott) Schmidt and Stephanie (Kevin) O’Brien; seven-week-old granddaughter, Paige Marie O’Brien; sister, Sandra (Ron) Kosec; and sister-in-law, Kari (Robert) Fowler.
Funeral Mass was celebrated Sat., March 3, at 3 p.m., at St. Thomas More, 3015 East Creek Rd., Sandy, where friends offered condolences to the family beginning at 2 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Starks Funeral Parlor.

Venice Jensen
Venice Elaine Burr Jensen, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, 91, left her earthly home and returned to her heavenly home on March 2, 2007 at the Emery Co. Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ferron, Utah.
She was born in Emery, Utah on April 19, 1915 to Elias Emer Burr and Hazel Johnson.
Married to Dermus B. Jensen on Sept. 26, 1933 in Emery, their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple on 18 Apr. 1935. They celebrated 70 years of marriage.
A lifetime resident of Emery, she loved the town of Emery and all the wonderful friends and neighbors that lived in the small town. As a cattle ranchers wife she truly worked as an equal partner doing a lot of the hard work required in the business. She planted a vegetable garden each summer and loved beautiful flowers. Always willing to provide food for anyone and everyone visiting her home. An avid quilter, she made many treasured quilts for her children and grandchildren. A faithful member of the LDS church she served in many church positions in her lifetime and was very proud of her pioneer heritage.
Preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother, Ned and two granddaughters, baby Jennifer and her precious Tori.
She is survived by her children, LaWayne (Jens), Layton; Brent (Karen), St. George; Russell (Betty), Emery; Kenna (LaVar), Riverton, 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and her first great, great grandchild due in March.
Funeral services will be held Wed. March 7, in the Emery LDS Ward Chapel at 12 noon. Friends may call prior to the services from 10:30 a.m. to 11:40 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Emery Cemetery, under the direction of Fausett Mortuary, Castle Dale and Price.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the personnel at the Emery Co. Nursing Home for the loving care given to her while she was a resident there.
Steve Johnson
HELPER- Our loving and dedicated father, grandfather, brother and soul mate, Stephen Michael Johnson, age 63, passed away March 4, 2007 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side.
Born Sept. 29, 1943 in Woods Cross, Utah to William Wayne and Bernice Frandsen Johnson.
Married LaRue Rugg, Sept. 30, 1963, Later divorced. Then he met the love of his life Clara Romero, who he spent the last 20 years with. He was her loving companion, best friends and soul mate. I love you Steve.
Steve was a man of many trades and he dedicated his life to his profession. He owned and operated Price Check Auto and many other businesses over the past 40 years. Served as a medic in the United States Army.
Steve’s favorite past times were riding his Harley, cooking, playing pool and most of all camping with his family. He had an open sense of humor and he loved to make everyone laugh. Steve was always the one that knew how to have a good time, he was generous and willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his soul mate, Clara Romero; children Marcie Fisher, Spencer (Madonna) Johnson, Natalie (Eric) Nish, Dorothy (Mike) Vigil; grandchildren Casey, Shandi, Cody, Jordan Fisher; Michael, Mathew Johnson; McKayla, Takiah, Destinee, Nish; Makael, Camryn, Mikey, Vigil; sisters Gail (Dean) Harrison, Carol (Mel) Miller, Jane Dula; brothers Kim (Patsy) Johnson, Kurt (Barbara) Johnson.
Preceded in death by parents, brother Robert Johnson; brother-in-law Fred Dula; grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff of Utah Valley Hospital, Dr. Nathan Rich and a special thanks to CNS, and Debbie Hansen, hospice nurse.

Michael Tullio
PRICE-Michael Anthony Tullio, age 70, passed away suddenly March 3, 2007 in Price. Born Feb. 6, 1937 in Somerset, Colo. to Mike and Celea Coletti Tullio. Married Beatrice Dodge, May 2, 1969 at Saint Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Grand Junction, Colo.
Michael honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1954-1958. He was longtime resident of Colorado, where he retired from U.S. Steel Coal Company after 21 years of service. Member of the United Mine Workers of America Local # 6417, in Somerset, Colo. He enjoyed hunting, camping, watching TV and his greatest enjoyment came from watching his grandchildren and sharing in their activities.
Survived by his loving wife, Bea Tullio, Price; daughter, Tammy (Justin) Jensen, Spring Glen; son, Gene (Bridget) Tullio, Helper; grandchildren, Colby, Dylan, Rex, Rhett and Jessica; sister, Shirley Morgan, Delta, Colo; brothers, Bruce (Pat) Tullio, Delta, Colo, Rusty (Vicki) Tullio, Tulsa, Okla.
Memorial service, Thursday, March 8, 2007, 3:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Thursday one half hour prior to service.
Zeferino Zamudio
GREEN RIVER- Zeferino Monarez Zamudio, age 75, passed away peacefully March 1, 2007 in Price.
He was born Aug. 26, 1931 in Tejamen, Durango, Mexico to Cipriano and Lucrecia Monarez Zamudio.
Married Juana Batrez, Sept. 5, 1951 in Tejamen, Canatlan, Durango, Mexico; she died Nov. 24, 2004.
Zeferino enjoyed working, traveling and visiting with friends.
Survived by three sons, Manuel (Viviette) Zamudio, Price; Cipriano Zamudio, Armando (Ana Virginia) Zamudio, both of Green River. Graveside services, were held Mon., March 5, at the Elgin Cemetery in Green River.
