A call came in from the Wedge area on Saturday night which called for emergency help for a man who had fallen. Gregory Fleming, 46, from Heber City fell about six feet from a small cliff. He suffered a head injury with severe bleeding. The reporting party wasn’t sure of their exact location but he reported they had a lot of alcohol. His map said they were on the lower Wedge road near a river.
The Emery County Sheriff’s Office and search and rescue began looking. The Huntington EMTs were put on alert and waited at the pumphouse until the subjects were located. LifeFlight was put on standby and then summoned to rescue the man where he was lifeflighted to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
