Connie Kosmack
“Grief Is Not Forever, But Love Is”
HELPER-Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Connie Johnatakis Kosmack, age 62, passed away May 14, 2007, with her husband and sons by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born May 13, 1945 in Hiawatha, Utah to Jim and Chole Allred Johnatakis.
Married Johnny Kosmack, Feb. 5, 1965 in Price.
Connie had a deep devotion and love for her family. Her family and friends were the most important part of her life, and she made sure of that. Whether it was the “Greek Easter” outgoings with family, sharing time with her grandsons, or her occasional gambling trips with Johnny, Connie always found something special to share with others.
She was a lifelong resident of Carbon County where she retired from PacifiCorp at the Huntington Plant. She enjoyed cooking, working in her garden, shopping, and listening to music. Connie leaves behind a legacy that will last a lifetime.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Kosmack, Helper; sons, Kirk Kosmack and David Reynolds, Coventry, R.I., Tom Kosmack, Roosevelt; three grandchildren, Carsyn, Kyle and Ty Kosmack; four sisters and one brother, Johnny Johnatakis, Salt Lake City; Elaine Norton, Wellington; Mary Lee Greenland, Longview, Wash.; Shirley Cooper, Price; Betty Workman, Sandy.
Preceded in death by her parents, and brother Jimmy Johnatakis.
Funeral service was held Fri,, May 18, 2007, 1 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family was at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to service. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
Arline Brown
KENILWORTH-Arline Margaret Houton Brown, age 91, passed away May 20, 2007, in the loving arms of the Heirloom Inn in Price.
She was born May 10, 1916 in Red Lodge, Mont. to Ray and Bertha Bloom Houton
Married Wilfred “Bill” Russell Brown, Sept. 5, 1936 in Red Lodge, Mont.; marriage later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Bill preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2005.
Sister Brown was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she was the organist of the Scofield Branch for the past 31 years. From her earliest days she was always drawn to music. Whether it was playing the piano or organ, teaching lessons, playing the accordion, or singing, she was inspiration to all. Her love of music helped lay the foundations for her faith, family, love, and her life.
Arline lived for others and her fondest memories were those that she shared with her wonderful family in Scofield. For her years of dedication she was honored with the Lifetime Service Award in Music.
Arline was known by many for her love of the color purple, and to many she was fondly referred to and recognized as the “Purple Lady”. She enjoyed bowling, taking pictures, crocheting, and she received many awards for her photography and crocheting. Sister Brown will be always be remembered for warmth, big smiles, and the musical memories that her little fingers shared with us.
Survived by her three sons, Ray (Patricia) Brown, Magna; Kenneth (Carol) Brown, South Jordan; Terry Brown, Price; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Margaret Jane Henrie; grandson, Terry LaVar Brown; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Brown; and a sister, Betty Stork.
Funeral service, Fri. May 25, 2007, 10 a.m., Helper LDS Stake Center. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. and at the church Friday one hour prior to service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
Wayne Harris
PRICE-Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother and friend, Wayne Hubert Harris, age 91, passed away May 16, 2007 at his home.
He was born April 13, 1916 in Monticello, Utah to Joseph Hubert and Emma Corline Hadden Harris.
Married Elma Ileen John, June 24, 1939 in Farmington, N.M.; marriage later solemnized in the Mesa, Ariz. Temple in 1942.
Wayne was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where served as an Explorer Scout Master. He served in the US Army in the Horse Cavalry in Ft. Riley, Kan. and overseas in the Philippines where he was a cook and baker.
Wayne was very active in his community and while living in Durango, Colo. and Moab, Utah he served in law enforcement as a deputy sheriff. He also spent many years working in the uranium mines, coal mines and the mills throughout Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. His years of labor have came to an end, but the sacrifices that he gave for his country, family and work will live on forever.
Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elma Harris, Price; children, Oliver (Barbara) Harris, Blanding; Elma (Ivin) Palmer, Flora Vista, N.M.; Ruth Nicol, LaSal, Utah; Linda (Ron) Kennedy, Cleveland, Utah; Bonnie (Bob) Crum, Kirtland, N.M.; Jo Ellen (Clay) Atwood, Price; Chad (Sandra) Harris, Monticello, Utah; Nivana (Jeff) Hocker, Red Mesa, Colo.; Orlin John Harris, Naturita, Colo.; sister, Ida Harris Elkins (age 97), Trowbridge, Calif.; 47 grandchildren, 118 great- grandchildren and seven great- great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by son-in-law, Ervin Sheets; granddaughter, Justina Sheets; son-in-law, John Nicol; and grandson, James Harris.
Funeral service, Sat., May 19, 2007, 10 a.m., Price 11th LDS Ward Chapel. Family was at Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main Street in Price Friday evening 6-8 p.m. and at the church Saturday one hour prior to service. Interment, Sat., May 19, 2007, 6 p.m., Kline, Colo. Robert Davis
HONEYVILLE, UTAH – Robert Merrill Davis, 69, our loving husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away Tues., May 15, 2007 at home with his loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Robert was born Feb. 4, 1938 to Mable Gerber Davis and Owen Davis. He was raised in Wellington, Utah. Spent many summers on his grandpa’s ranch.
Dad grew up with and later married his sweetheart Loraine Grace Draper Nov. 15, 1957. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. From this union came four wonderful sons and two beautiful daughters.
Dad’s greatest joy was his family and times spent together camping, hunting and family activities. He enjoyed working on his farm raising his animals, planting a garden to share with family and friends.
He retired from Thiokol after 37 years of dedicated service.
Dad was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Honeyville First Ward.
He is survived by his wife, children: Kurt, Kyle (Kathy), Scott, Boyd (Terri), Kaelyn (Shane) Robbins, and Laci J.; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his mother, Wellington, brothers: Keith and Douglas and sisters, Gayle Wallace, Cherilyn Piper and Valynne Spencer.
He is preceded in death by his father.
A funeral service was held Mon., May 21, 2007 at 12 (noon) at Honeyville LDS Ward Chapel, 2620 West 6980 North, Honeyville. Friends and family called from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Monday from 10:30-11:40 a.m. at the church. Interment at Honeyville Cemetery.
We would like to thank the staff of Hospice Alliance, the many friends and family who showed their love and support.
We love you Dad. You are a great example of enduring to the end.

Nora Llewelyn
SPRING GLEN/TAYLORSVILLE- Nora Elizabeth Mower Llewelyn, age 83, passed away peacefully May 17, 2007 at her son’s home in Taylorsville.
She was born Aug. 28, 1923 in Fairview, Utah to James and Florence Spens Mower.
Married Wallace Isiah Llewelyn, Oct. 13, 1938 in Burlington, Wyo.; marriage later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Wallace passed away April 24, 1974.
Nora was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a longtime resident of Carbon County where she worked as a waitress at Jeanselme’s Restaurant in Price for many years. She was an avid reader and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by her four sons, Wallace (LaRue) Llewelyn, Sundra (Catherine) Llewelyn, George Llewelyn, Rodger (Audree) Llewelyn; son- in-law, Mac Tidwell; brother, Lawrence (Betty) Mower; sisters, Naomi Trujillo and Belle Prince; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Joan Tidwell.
