Kimball Larsen tees off on hole number one.

The Millsite seniors are swinging this summer. They begin to gather at the clubhouse around 8 a.m. every Wednesday morning. Tees are drawn and teams come together for the four man scramble. The group plays 18 holes on league day.
The senior league is for men 50 years or older, and there are between 20 and 22 golfers each week. President of this league is Larry Harrington, and he can answer any questions or get new members signed up. Millsite manager Jordan Leonard said when the weather gets hotter, the league will meet earlier and start around 8 a.m. to beat the heat.
During May, the league traveled to Palisade Golf Course in Sterling to play there. Each month they will travel to a course nearby for an away tournament. This month they will travel to Cove View Golf Course in Richfield.
For more information about joining the senior golfers, call Jordan at 384-2887 or Larry at 381-2006. Fees for the seniors are $25 and that covers green fees and cart for the 18 holes.
