Juanna Migliore
PRICE-Juanna Buchanan Migliore died peacefully Nov. 23, 2007 on a beautiful and sunny late fall morning in her hometown of Price.
She was born to John and June Miller Buchanan in Helper on July 21, 1914 and, with the exception of seven years back East, she lived her life in Price.
Juanna eloped in 1934 to marry her beau Francesco Antonio Migliore (Doc to his friends and patients) in Washington, DC. They lived there and in Chicago until 1940 before returning to their roots in Price where Doc used his chiropractic skills to support his family including Michael and Launa Lee (Harvey). Doc died in 1983 and Michael in 1994 as a later-life consequence of service to his country in Vietnam. Juanna also mourned the loss of her sister Bertha (Spratling) and brothers Harry and Robert (Buck).
Juanna was an exceptional seamstress who made beautiful clothes for Launa, many friends in Price, and costumes for her grandchildren Brandon and Megan. This interest led her to work for many years selling materials and sewing notions in Price Trading where her skills and outgoing personality gained her many friends. Juanna and family spent happy times at the cabin Doc built in Scofield, a magical place now used by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson Elliot.
Juanna was a beautiful, independent, friendly, and honest lady who dealt cheerfully with life’s many challenges. She was actively involved in her community and the oldest Past President of the Price Ladies of Elks.
Her family would particularly like to thank her neighbor Norma Petrie who helped Juanna achieve her wish to live independently at home in her later years, and the amazing and caring ladies at Hospice especially Jessie who helped make that independence possible. A special thanks also to Drs. Etzel and Boyle. Juanna will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price at 11 a.m. with a viewing at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers please donate to Rocky Mountain Hospice at 60 East 100 North in Price, or the charity of your choice. Interment, Price City Cemetery.

Zeke Cordova
EAST CARBON-Our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and longtime friend, Ezequiel Cordova, age 99, passed away in the loving care of the Emery County Nursing Home on Nov. 26, 2007.
He was born July 22, 1908 in Cuba, N.M. to Teodolo and Teresita Chavez Cordova.
He married Maria Rita Montoya, March 9, 1928 in Durango, Colo.; she died July 20, 1979.
Zeke was an active member of the Spanish Assembly of God Church where he was a Sunday School teacher for many years. He was a staunch Democrat and a 60 year member of the United Mine Workers of America Local # 9958. Zeke was always politically informed and he was proud of the right to vote.
In his early years, Grandpa loved sheep herding and spending time in the mountains. He enjoyed his family, friends, and his daily walks.
Survived by one son and one daughter, Richard (Connie) Cordova, Price; Ruby Cordova, East Carbon; son-in-law, Baltazar Madrid, East Carbon; daughter-in-law, Clorinda Cordova, Price; sister, Virginia Cordova, Santa Fe, N.M.; nine grandchildren, Richard, Philip, Debbie, David, James, Geraldine, Michael, Beverly, Christine, 22 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Eleanor Madrid; grandson, Raynel Cordova; sister, Mary Archuleta; and a brother, Lugardo Cordova.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, 1 p.m., Spanish Assembly of God Church, 700 East 400 South. Evening service, Friday 7 p.m. at the church. Family received friends at the church Friday and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home.
In remembrance of Zeke and his dedication to the Lord, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Spanish Assembly of God Church.
Cleon O. Killpack
ST. GEORGE/FERRON-Cleon Olsen Killpack, 84, died peacefully in St. George, Utah on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007. She was born on Sept. 23, 1923 in Emery, Utah to Raymond Peter and Eudean Worthington Olsen. She married Glendon Ray Killpack Jr. on June 11, 1942 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. He passed away on Nov. 26, 2003.
One of Cleon’s greatest accomplishments in life was graduating from Utah State University in Logan, Utah at the age of 50. She used her degree to become a third grade teacher. She was dearly loved by all the many children whom she taught. Cleon loved quilting and working on genealogy. She also wrote many enjoyable stories and poems. She also enjoyed the family reunions which were held at the Ferron Reservoir.
Ray and Cleon served an LDS Public Relations Mission in the Colorado Denver Mission and upon their return were ordinance workers at the Manti LDS Temple.
She was a secretary to the project manager in charge of building Joe’s Valley Dam.
She is survived by her two sons and two daughters, Robert Ray (Shauna) Killpack of Ivins, Utah, Russell Keith (Connie) Killpack of San Diego, Calif., Nina Jean (Michael) Bleazard of Duchesne, Utah and Faye (Clark J.) Hubbard of St. George, Utah; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; her brother, Earl (Dixie) Olsen of Salt Lake City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Marvell Kent Olsen.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Old LDS Church on the hill, 200 North State Street in Ferron. Friends called at the LDS Church on Saturday from 11:30-12:45 p.m. Interment was in the Ferron City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary (435) 673-4221. Kay Brotherson
ELMO-Kay Brotherson age 75 went home to be with her Lord on Nov. 27, 2007.
Waiting to join her in Heaven in the future are her husband, Floyd Brotherson also her children; Bill Brotherson, Danny Brotherson, Debi Harper and Lynn Brotherson. She will be missed by them all.

Fern Hyatt Anderson
KENILWORTH-Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Fern Anderson, age 84, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007.
She was born Aug. 11, 1923 in Sego, Utah to Dea and Gwen Lund Hyatt.
Married Merlin Anderson, Oct. 26, 1945 in Kenilworth, Utah; he died Dec. 10, 1982.
Fern was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she was a Primary Teacher for many years. She was an avid fan of both the Utah Jazz and the Denver Broncos. She was a 50 year member of the birthday club and the canasta club. She always looked forward to her twice a year trips to Wendover.
Fern loved sitting at the kitchen table enjoying her coffee. She was a lifelong resident of Kenilworth where she was loved by all. Fern will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters, Eddie (Margit) Anderson, Mt. Carmel, Ill., Jerry (Kathy) Anderson, Elmo, Randy (Gayla) Anderson, West Valley City, Connie (Paul) Burdis, Price; Merlynn and Richard Anderson, both of Kenilworth, brother, Garth (Marie) Hyatt, Glenwood Springs, Colo.; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister June, and son, Kent “Bucky” Anderson.
Funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Helper LDS Stake Center. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church Friday one hour prior to service. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
