Castle Dale appoints equestrian board

By COREY BLUEMEL Staff writer

“Castle Dale City has advertised for volunteers to serve on the equestrian center advisory board,” said Castle Dale Mayor Neal Peacock. “This is not a paid position and their job is to advise Councilman Joel Dorsch concerning the operation of the center.”
Mayor Peacock also stated their job is not to administrate or legislate, they are to give opinions on the success of the operation and make suggestions as to how it may better serve the users of the facility. “The main purpose of this advisory board is two fold. Number one is to note the positive happenings at the equestrian center. The second is to give suggestions and solutions,” said Mayor Peacock.
Eight applications were received by the city, and that is exactly the number the mayor was considering for the board. It was decided to appoint all those who submitted applications. The members of the new advisory committee for the Blue Sage Arena in Castle Dale are: Clinton Price; Chris Nielsen, Randy Magnuson, Ron Fausett, Amy Adams, Dan Whiteleather, Kevin Gordon; and Derri Jewkes.
