The Carbon/Emery County Farm Service Agency committee announces that both Carbon and Emery counties have been approved for the Emergency Conservation Program in order to haul water to livestock in either county.
If you are a livestock producer in Carbon or Emery county and have had to haul water or expect to haul water to your livestock, you may be eligible for cost-share assistance through the FSA office through the ECP program. The 120 day eligibility period that the counties are approved for is from Nov. 17, 2008 through March 16, 2009.
The FSA office, located at 1090 Des-Bee-Dove Road (550 West) in Castle Dale, will hold a 20 day sign-up period starting Jan. 5, 2009 and lasting until Jan. 26, 2009.
