The Emery Spartan wrestlers hosted Duchesne on the mat this past week at the Spartan Center. In JV action Keith Bird and Cort Jensen both had pins. In varsity action at 145 weight class Jace Guymon defeated Corey Wilson with a 13-10 decision. In the 152 weight class Chet Funk from Emery was pinned by Max Lewis. Jake Gardner of Emery pinned Jordan Lewis at 160.
In the 171 class, Nathan Mecham of Emery was pinned by Selby Rinehart from Duchesne. Drew Bohn in the 215 weight class pinned his opponent. In the lighter weights, Spencer Fehlberg pinned his opponent. Tice Guymon was pinned at 112. Zac Walls was pinned at 125. Dakota Tucker was pinned at 130. Clay Collard pinned his man at 135 and Haden Hatch finished the match by pinning his opponent. Emery was 33 points and Duchesne 30 points in the score not counting forfeited matches.
