PRICE-Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend, Thelma May Thomas Madrid, passed away at home under the loving care of her family on March 23, 2009.
She was born May 10, 1923 in Hiawatha, Utah to Levi Reese and Nellie Banner Thomas.
Married Ramon N. Madrid, June 20, 1942 in Hiawatha, Utah.
Thelma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1942. She loved baking, enjoying a cup of tea with good friends, camping, fishing and playing cards. She was the best wife, mother, and grandmother ever. Her family was her life and she will be dearly missed by all. .
She is survived by her loving husband, Ramon N. Madrid, Price; daughter, Juanita (Paul) Majnik, Ogden; son, Ramon Lynn (Suzie) Madrid, Price; son-in-law, Abdullah Kadhi, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; sister, Nellie (Thomas) Everley, Ivins, Utah; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Kadhi; five brothers, Levi, Griffith “Bus”, Cyril, Glenn and Reese Thomas; sisters, Vesta Gourdin and Ellen Cameron
Graveside service was held Friday, March 27, 2009, 11 a.m., Price City Cemetery. Family was at Mitchell Funeral Home Friday morning from 10-10:40 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily.
