PRICE-Thusnelda Gladys Mills, 93, of Price died Sunday, March 29, 2009.
She was born on Dec. 27, 1915 in Sunnyside, Utah to William Alvin and Gladys Eva Tatton Hunter.
Married Wilburn Mills, on Jan. 2, 1934 in Price, the first day that Utah drivers licenses were issued for .25 cents.
Thusnelda and Bill raised their children, Gaylene and Gary, in the coal camp of Standardville. In 1961 Thusnelda went to work for Safeways as a meat cutter. After retiring she and Bill traveled and spent time with their children and grandchildren up until his passing in 1989. Thusnelda enjoyed traveling with the Senior Citizens Group on countless trips to Wendover.
Up until two weeks before her passing, Thusnelda was an independent, vivacious woman. She was still driving to town to do her shopping, running errands, and going to visit with family and friends. She was an amazing 93 years young!
Her pride and joy will always be her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was always happiest when she was surrounded by them.
Thusnelda is survived by a son, Gary W. Mills, Spring Glen; grandchildren, Michael (Linda) Ballard, Price, Gary D. (Terri) Mills, Price, Barry T. (Karon) Mills, Price, Lance H. Ballard, Price, Heather Mills, Spring Glen; great-grandchildren, Mikelle (Michael), Geoffrey, Daneesha, Alexis, Tonya, Brandon, Joshua, Lacie, Haley, Natasha, Zachary and Randi; great-great-grandchildren, Emiliano, Torizella, Ignacio and Patrick; sister, Carol Olsen, Price; brother, Hayden (Vodis) Hunter, Price; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, Bill Mills; daughter, Gaylene (Martin) Ballard; daughter-in-law, LaVange Mills; sisters, Betty Evatz, Wilma Watson; brothers, Quentin and Clyde Hunter.
The family extends their gratitude to Dr. Potter, Dr. Williams, and the Castleview Hospital Med/Surg nursing staff, and Emergency Room staff for their compassionate care of Thusnelda during her final days.

Memorial service, Thursday, April 2, 2009, 1 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Thursday at 12 noon. Interment, Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home.
