4-H Camp


4-H camp at the BearCreek campground at 10 a.m. on June 25. The theme is Saddles and Sagebrush. Craft projects, lunch and a lot of activities. Contact the Extension office at 381-2381 to register. Everyone welcome.

FSA County Comittee Nominations Start June 15


Farmer and rancher candidate nominations begin June 15 for local Farm Service Agency county committees. The nomination period continues through Aug. 3, with elections taking place this fall. All producers are encouraged to participate in the county election process by nominating candidates. To be eligible to serve on an FSA county committee, a person must participate or cooperate in a program administrated by FSA, be eligible to vote in a county committee election and reside in the local administrative area in which the person is a candidate. Huntington Heritage Days Parade


Come join our Heritage Days Parade on July 4. Childrens parade at 9:30 a.m.- lineup at City Park and Center Street. Main parade 10 a.m.-lineup at 8:30 a.m. at 200 South Main. Horse parade 10 a.m.-lineup at 300 South next to motel. For more information call 687-9458 or 687-2864.

Food Handler’s Class


Food Handler’s classes will be held July 15, Aug.12, and Sept. 9 at 4 and 7 p.m. at SEUDHD – 25 West Main Castle Dale. For more information call 381-2252.

Hunter Education Course


A hunter education course will be held June 30, July 1, 2 and 3 at the Emery County Recreation Center. Class will be from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. each day. You must pre-register by June 26. Sign up early there is a class size limit. Participants will be required to obtain a voucher at a licensed vendor for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources prior to registering for the class. Emery County Recreation Junior Golf Program


Emery County Recreation will be sponsoring a junior golf program for youth ages 12-18. This program will run June 22, 29, July 6 amd 13 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. You will receive a coupon at the time of registration. Register at the Emery County Recreation office located at 75 South 400 East, Castle Dale. This program will be conducted at Millsite Golf Course. Historical Society Trek


Join the Emery County Historical Society on a trek to the Summerville Mining District (Chimney Rock and ruins from railroad construction on the San Rafael) on June 27, meet at the Buckhorn Well below Castle Dale at 9 a.m. Bring pot luck dish, water, sun screen, bug repellant, chairs and cameras. Hot dogs and buns will be furnished by the Society. High clearance vehicles will be required. No meeting in July. Plan on being to our Cowboy Poetry event on Aug. 27. Questions, call Joyce 749-0041.

Green River Magic Show


Come join the Green River Community Center for an afternoon of “Magic with Madell” on June 26. This exciting event is free and all children are welcome. The event will be held at the community center from 12:30-1:30 p.m. and is something you won’t want to miss.

RC&D Meeting

Millsite State Park Second annual Tagged Fish Event


Utah’s first-ever tagged trout event will start June 1 and run through July 31. You can make money catching tagged fish at Millsite Reservoir. There will be 20 fish each worth $50, 10 fish worth $100 and two worth $250, for a total of $2,500. All you have to do is get out and fish. No contest fee required.
