HUNTINGTON-Janet W. Taylor, age 72, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2009, in Price, Utah, reuniting once again with her beloved husband, Jack. Janet was born June 21, 1937 in Castle Dale, Utah, the youngest of five children born to Warren H. and Lila Rowley Wilberg. She married Jack H. Taylor on Sept. 20, 1954 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Janet and Jack were both members of the J&J Club of Huntington. She was on the Huntington Beautification Committee where she enjoyed making Main Street look beautiful. Janet was also an Emery County EMT for many years, and a Carbon County Ambulance Supervisor. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She loved to work in her yard where she took great pride in making it look good. Janet loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They loved to go to Grandma Janet’s where she enjoyed teaching them to work in the yard. She and Jack enjoyed traveling together especially to Hawaii, Colorado, and Sedona, Ariz. She also loved her dog Bella.
Janet is survived by her children: Debra (Larry Joe) Newman of Huntington, Steven (Jody) Taylor of Cleveland, and Nola Taylor Mead of Orangeville; two sisters-in-law: Charlotte Wilberg of Texas and Arvella Wilberg of Castle Dale; a brother, Wayne (Elaine) Wilberg of Castle Dale; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her parents; an infant son, John Taylor; two brothers, Kay and LaGrand Wilberg; and one sister, Joyce Olsen.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at 11 a.m., at the Huntington LDS First and Fifth Ward Chapel (115 South 400 East). There will be a viewing Tuesday, July 7, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale, and on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
