ELMO-Our loving mother, grandmother, and beloved neighbor, Donna Hamann Russell, age 77, passed away peacefully July 12, 2009 in Price.
She was born April 2, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Louis Otto and Mercy Hamann.
Married Richard LaMar Russell, Jan. 22, 1966 in Elko, Nev., he died Aug. 17, 2003.
Donna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a resident of Elmo since 1978, where she was blessed with some of the best neighbors and caregivers anyone could ask for. She loved the outdoors and was happiest when she was working in her yard. Her beautiful flowers and prized rose garden was a delight to all.
She loved helping others and caring for her pets. It was often said, that if you couldn’t find a home for a pet, then bring them to Donna and she would care for them.
Survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Martin) Vuksinick, West Valley; Shelly (Richard) Muller, Cottonwood Heights; four grandchildren, Marty and Lessa Vuksinick, Zachery and Brookelyn Prince; one brother and one sister; Donna’s second family, Larry (Delena) Fish, Dustin (Brandy) Duncan, all of Elmo, David Duncan, Washington; and many other dear neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard; infant son; son, David Miller; and her sisters.
Funeral service, Thursday, July 16, 2009, 1 p.m. Elmo LDS Ward. Family will be at the church Thursday one hour prior to service. Interment, Elmo City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily.
