Robert (Bob) William Grim I, 63, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 after a long courageous battle with brain cancer. Bob was born Aug. 2, 1946, in Bergholz, Ohio, the oldest child of Zygfryd Dulkoski and Audrey Grim Dulkoski.
He was raised in Jewett, Ohio, where he met the love of his life, Carol Marie Coleman Grim. They were married May 8, 1967. They lived in Ohio until 1980 when they relocated to Castle Dale, Utah, where Bob continued his hard work as a dedicated coal miner.
After 33 years as a coal miner Bob retired and they later moved to St. George, Utah in 2004.
Bob was a hard worker, and made sure his family was well taken care of. He had a special place in his heart for dogs, and he loved to eat, especially ice cream. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family, his kindness to others, and his unique sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol; his son Robert (Rob) William Grim II, both of St. George, Utah; his father Zygfryd Dulkoski of Jewett, Ohio, brothers Junior (Bobbi) Dulkoski of New Rumley, Ohio; Gary (Danita) Dulkoski of New Philadelphia, Ohio; Larry (Carla) Dulkoski; Wayne (Pam) Dulkoski both of Germano, Ohio; and his little sis Gloria (Mike) Carson of New Lexington, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Mae Grim Dulkoski.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the New Promise Lutheran Church, 244 South Valley View Drive, St. George, Utah.
Services were under the direction of McMillan Mortuary.
