Emery County Care and Rehab in Ferron and the Beehive Home in Elmo had some holiday cheer delivered by the Castle Country Radio and its sponsors. Paul Anderson, the Castle Country Radio sales manager and his helpers delivered the poinsettias to the care centers. Residents were delighted with these special deliveries as they brightened their day and their rooms for Christmas.
This is the third year the Castle Country Radio has teamed up with Gordon’s Nursery in Huntington to deliver these plants to every resident of a care center in Carbon and Emery counties.
Anderson said, “This is the time of year when families get together and share the joys of the season. It is a time for reflection and appreciation. A time for pondering the peace Christmas brings. Unfortunately, some residents of the area care centers do not get the opportunity to share in that joy. Brightening their holiday is the motivation behind, ‘Poinsettia’s of Love.’
“We feel very privileged to have worked with such great sponsors this year. With their aid we were able to bring the warm feeling of the holidays to some great people,” said Anderson.
Castle Country Radio consists of three local radio stations KOAL AM 750, KARB 98.3 FM Kickin Country and KRPX 95.3 FM The Peak.
Over a three day period, the staff of Castle Country Radio along with Kris Mele and Ellis Pierce of Pierce Oil were able to visit the Emery County Care and Rehab Center, Beehive Homes facilities in both Price and Elmo, the Castle Country Care Center, Parkdale Care Center and the Heirloom Inn. At each facility, every resident was treated to a beautiful, bright and fresh poinsettia plant to keep and cherish.
The 2009 Poinsettia’s of Love program was made possible by Pierce Oil/Golden West/Swifts Stop and Shop, ECI Electrical Contractors and Joy Mining Machinery in conjunction with Beehive Homes, Nielson Construction, Booth Fire Protection, Tram Electric, Sutherlands, Parkdale Care Center, Bruno Engineering, Bill Barrett Corporation, Oliveto Fine Gifts, Castleview Physical Therapy, Eastern Utah Community Credit Union, Carbon Emery Motorsports, Hard Hat Furniture and Appliance, Allstate Agent-Van Mays, Petersen Chemical and Parkway Dental.
“Thank you to everyone who assisted us this year. The residents of our local assisted living facilities truly reaped the rewards of your generosity,” said Anderson.
