Bailey R. (Randy) Finkbiner, 55, Helper resident, passed away Feb. 24, 2010. Randy was born March 22, 1954, in Rawlins, Wyo., to George and Berta (Winningham) Finkbiner. He married Jan Mashburn in 1982, and had two children, Erin and Cy. They were later divorced.
In 1992 he married Natalie VanRoosendaal with whom he had two boys, Clint and Clay. The family lived in Helper, where he was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer.
Randy loved team roping and his dogs, cats and horses. More than anything Randy loved and cherished his wife and children and was always his kids’ biggest fan at their sporting events. He’ll be remembered as a great ‘storyteller’ who made his family and friends laugh throughout his life.
Randy, you will always have a special place in our hearts and will be missed and loved by all who knew you.
His parents preceded Randy in death. He is survived by Natalie, Clint and Clay Finkbiner in Helper; Cy and Erin Finkbiner in Salt Lake City; and by his brother Jim Finkbiner in Arizona; and his sister Lori (Dick) Pate, and their children Griffen and Bailey Pate, in Denver. Funeral Service was Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, 6 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home. Family was at Mitchell’s one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions at any Utah Power Credit Union in C/O of Natalie, Clint or Clay Finkbiner. Online condolences may be shared at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
