MAGNA/ELMO- Levi Berry Lott passed peacefully from this life on July 31, 2010. Levi was born the youngest of seven children to Adelbert and Lovina Lott on May 12, 1922 in Huntington Utah. He was married to the love of his life, Joy Irene Cameron on May 28, 1965 in Clearfield, Utah, they were later sealed July 5, 1966 for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple. She died Feb. 18, 2002.
Levi grew up helping his father on their farm and apple orchard in Huntington. At the age of 22 he served in the United States Army in the 35th Regiment in the Asiatic Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II as a scout and rifleman.
He later purchased his own farm in Elmo, Utah where he raised five of his children and later shared with his wife Joy until 1978 at which time they moved to Benjamin, Utah.
In May 1985 Levi and Joy were called to serve a mission together in St. George Utah that was extended until August 1987. They then spent winters in St. George and summers as campground hosts in the Ice House Area of Northern California.
He is survived by his sister-in-law Phyllis (Cameron) Linn, children Kathy (Dale) Shupe, Janice (Mic) D’Ambrosio, Tom Lott, Rodney (Audra) Lott, Berry (Donnie) Lott, Doug (Lorna) St. Julien, Deborah (Mike) Knott and Meg (Jerry) Jeppson, 37 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren with more on the way, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceeded in death by his parents Adelbert Joseph and Lovina Gardner Lott, wife, Joy Irene Lott; brothers Royal, Bruce, Willard, Adelbert, and Jex along with his sister Zelda Seeley, brother-in-laws Dean Cameron and Alan “Butch” Cameron, his son Sidney Lott, granddaughters Alisa Shea Bearnson and Ashley Jeppson and great-grandson Hunter Davis.
Graveside service, Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, 11 a.m. Huntington City Cemetery. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home 233 East Main, Price Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Friends are welcome at Mitchell’s daily and welcome to share memories of Levi online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
