HELPER-Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Mava Lynn Farrell, passed away Sept. 14, 2010 at home after just celebrating her 68th birthday.
She was born Sept. 11, 1942 in Price, Utah to Wallace (Tubby) Gibson and Katherine Black.
Married Robert (Bob) Farrell, April 5, 1973 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Mava graduated from Carbon High School and attended Utah State University in Logan.
She loved going to Scofield and Lake Powell where she enjoyed fishing and camping with her family and friends. Mava was very active in the Relay for Life and was happiest when she was helping others. As witnessed by her license plate, she was “BRN 2 BUM”. Mava had a strong faith in, and love for God. She was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Survived by her husband, Robert Farrell, Helper; daughter, Kelly (Kit) Pappas, Price; son, Kim (Brigitte) Farrell, Helper; daughter, Paula (Brian) Christensen, Houston, Texas; son, Jamie Farrell, Helper; grandchildren, Tiffany, Brittany, Tyson, Zachary, Devin, Demi, Nicole, Amber, Madison and Taylor; sister and brothers, Barbara (James) Beason, Stan (Maureen) Gibson, Clifford (Karen) Gibson, all of Helper; also survived by several brothers-in-law, their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mava was preceded in death by her parents and brother Leonard.
A celebration of Life was held Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, 10 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, Price. Family was at Mitchell’s Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Mava online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Rocky Mountain Hospice Care, 60 East 100 North, Price, Utah 84501.
