PRICE-Goldie Wooden Webster, age 94, passed away Oct. 19, 2010, at home while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Oct. 25, 1915 in Yale, Okla. to Jobe and Jessie Lenora Benge Wooden.
On Oct. 31, 1940, she married Claude F. Webster in Cushing, Okla. and they later moved to Carbon County where they made their home in 1947. On Jan. 5, 1975, Claude preceded her in death.
Goldie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a gifted and talented seamstress who began perfecting her handiwork at 10 years of age. Over the years she enjoyed crocheting afghans, doilies, knitting, making wedding dresses, dance costumes, dolls and other speciality items for all to enjoy.
Her home was a welcoming place for all, and she truly cherished every single visit from family and friends. Goldie was also an excellent cook and she made sure that everyone who visited had the chance of sampling one of her speciality dishes or receiving one of her hand crafted gifts. She loved the opportunity to help others, and for years she donated more than 2,000 baby caps and booties to the Castleview Hospital nursery. Goldie will be dearly missed and her keepsakes will be treasured forever.
She is survived by two daughters and one son, Lenora Hawkins, Price, Claudia (Charlie) Felice, Helper, Claude Webster, Jr., Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers and two sisters, Winfield Wooden, Spring Glen, Melvin Wooden, Oklahoma, Juanita Deans, Illinois, Priscilla Lumbard, Colorado; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
