EAST CARBON- Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Dora Mae Fivecoat Lauffer, age 81, passed away peacefully Jan. 7, 2011 at her home in East Carbon. She left us peacefully in her sleep after a long illness with alzheimers.
She was born May 19, 1929 in Jamestown, Ark. to Samuel and Eula Spitler Fivecoat.
Married John E. Lauffer and they had three children, Michael, Sara, and Daniel.
Dora moved to Dragerton as a young girl with her family in 1946, she was the oldest of 11 children in her family. She was a Christian who enjoyed church, quilting, crocheting and needle point. Together Dora and John enjoyed riding their motorcycles and family vacations at Lake Mead, Nev. After John’s passing Dora took care of the elderly with her constant companion “Tinker Bell” and Peter Pan”. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dora’s son Michael for his love and care the last part of her life. We love you and will miss you Dora Mae.
Survived by her children, Michael Lauffer; Sara Sacco; Daniel Lauffer; siblings, Ila (Milton) Rea; Sam (Charlotte) Fivecoat Jr.; Thomas “T.W.” Fivecoat; Jim (Mary) Fivecoat; Wayne (Bette) Fivecoat; Bobby Fivecoat and Sharon Beitel; Sue (Richard) Robinson; Dana (Glen) Copeland; Chris (Judy) Fivecoat; grandchildren, Michael, Chris, Frankie, Beth, Joshua; 11 great grandchild and one more on the way, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Lauffer; one brother, Billy Fivecoat.
