PRICE-Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Harry William Vogrinec age 92 passed away Jan. 15, 2011 in Price.
He was born March 1, 1918 in Sunnyside, Utah to Peter and Frances Loncarich Vogrinec. He is the last of 10 children.
Married Nola Thompson May 27, 1942 in Price, Utah. They had two sons Jeffrey (Carolyn) and Terry (Marilyn).
Harry graduated from North Emery High School and excelled in all types of sports and was an outstanding baseball player. He was a baseball player for the Hiawatha team in the Carbon Coal league for many years.
Harry joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1962 and was sealed in the Manti Temple to his wife and children in 1964. He served several callings for the church including scout leader, ward secretary, fin clerk, and ward clerk.
Harry loved to camp and fish at the Ferron Reservoir with his friends. Harry liked to play pool at the Senior Citizen Center, and loved to play cards with his friends. He built two homes for his family. He worked at U.S. Fuel in Hiawatha for 38 years and was a proud member of the U.M.W.A. Hiawatha local #6363.
Survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Nola; sons, Terry Vogrinec; Jeffrey Vogrinec; grandsons, Kirk, Cory, Ryan, Jason Vogrinec; six great grandchildren.
Funeral service, Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, 11 a.m. Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-7 p.m. at Mitchell’s. Interment, Ferron City Cemetery at 2 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Harry online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
