Approximately 2,659 residents in the Castle Dale, Emery and Ferron region of Emery County lost power earlier today due to a loss of transmission line in the immediate area.
According to officials from Rocky Mountain Power, the transmission line went down when a power poll was broken by extremely strong morning winds. Rocky Mountain Power employees responded to the affected site immediately, restoring power to 1,714 custumers by 11:50 a.m.
It is currently being estimated that the remaining 980 effected individuals should have their power restored by 3:30 p.m.
