Cleveland Fire Department’s
Second Annual Spring
Expo
The Cleveland Fire Department will sponsor the Second Annual Spring Expo on April 30 at the Cleveland Fire Station from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. There will be vendors, food, raffle, prizes and entertainment throughout the day. More information including vendor contacts call 653-2310 or 653-2679.
USU-CEU’s 32nd Annual Women’s
Conference
Life coach Connie Sokol and Salt Lake Community College President Cynthia Bioteau will keynote USU-CEU’s 32nd annual women’s conference from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on April 1, in the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center. Theme for the conference is “Movers and Shakers” and it features 12 workshops on topics applicable to today’s women.
Poker Ride
A Swell Cure For Cabin Fever. April 9. Registration 8-11 a.m.

Cancer fundraiser
Huntington will host a fundraiser on April 16 at 5 p.m. at the Canyon View Junior High. There will be a BBQ pork dinner and an auction. There are at least 13 members of the Huntington/Lawrence area at this time fighting cancer. Proceeds raised will go to help with medical expenses. That morning there will be a yard sale at Hometown Market. Items are needed for the yard sale and auction. Please support this fundraiser. A fun run begins at 9 a.m. on April 16 at Huntington Park.There are future plans for a golf tournament and bake sale during the summer to continue fundraising. Zumba-thon: Benefit for Huntington’s Cancer Fundraiser. April 9. At Canyon View Jr. High 9: – 11 a.m. Check in – 8:30 a.m. Come Party with us for two hours or as long as you want. Open Quarry
Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry opened on March 25 – 10 a.m. Inside the Quarry discover one of the world’s foremost fossil resources. Observe the bones of dinosaurs – excavated, yet to be excavated, and replicas – and imagine what life was like in this exact spot during the time of the dinosaur. After discovering inside the Quarry, continue to the picnic tables for a break and to the hiking trails to continue your adventure.
The quarry site will be open weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) through the last weekend of May. The schedule for the rest of 2011 is still uncertain, but will be announced once determined. Hours of operation are 10 a.m.-5 p.m., except on Sundays when they are noon-5 p.m.
