In just 10 days, two care centers have donated almost one ton of food to the Carbon and Emery County Food Banks. Staff members said, “That’s a lot of community support and we at both care centers want to sound a loud thank you and God bless us every one.
“Emery County Care and Rehab turned in 752.5 pounds of food and Pinnacle Care and Rehab weighed in at a whopping 1,120 pounds. Working together we’ve stocked shelves with 1,872.5 pounds of food. That’s an impressive collection in 10 days.
“The administrators and staff of both centers are proud of the combined efforts and the friendly banter that was enjoyed by all. The facility residents got involved by calling friends and families to bring food, too.
“In a sweeping show of equity, the administrators Alec Stephenson and Al Shakespaere are considering combining their efforts as well and each performing at both facilities. This prize makes both centers the winner. What better way to show holiday spirit. Please remember, no matter what holiday you celebrate this time of year – it’s just an excuse to be a little kinder, a little gentler, and a little more generous,” said staff members.
