CASTLE DALE/CARBONVILLE-Our loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and beloved co-worker, Mark Edward Lofgreen, age 64, made his last haul March 1, 2012 doing what he loved most, providing for his family.
He was born June 18, 1947 in Safford, Ariz. to Benjamin Edward and Jean N. Follett Lofgreen.
Married his sweetheart, Beverly Kay Benedict, Dec. 23, 1965 in San Manuel, Ariz. and their marriage was solemnized in the Mesa Arizona Temple on May 26, 1967.
Mark was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was an employment specialist, High priest and served faithfully in numerous other callings. He honorably served his country in the US Navy during Vietnam. Mark was a longtime resident of Carbon and Emery counties where he worked at Plateau and Willow Creek mines. At the time of his passing he was employed with Savage Industries as a Lead Safety Specialist.
Mark enjoyed computers, electronics and was always keeping up on the latest technologies. He loved NASCAR and everyone knows that a 1956 Red/White Corvette was always at the top of his wish list. Mark touched the hearts of many and he will be dearly missed by all.
Survived by his loving wife, Beverly Lofgreen, Carbonville; daughter, Sheri (Mitch) Vetere, Green River, Utah; sons, Paul (Tammy) Lofgreen, Michael Lofgreen, both of Tucson, Ariz.; mother, Jean Lofgreen, Carbonville; brothers, Dale Lofgreen, Mesa, Ariz., Ron (Dee) Lofgreen, Indonesia and Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren, Brittney, Ciji and Blair Vetere, all of Price, Nicole Lofgreen, Safford, Ariz., Blake and Lexy Lofgreen, Eager, Ariz., Austin and Natasha Lofgreen, Tucson, Ariz.; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father, Benjamin; and sister-in-law, Barbara Lofgreen.
Funeral service, Tuesday, March 6, 2012, 11 a.m., Gordon Creek LDS Ward (175 North 1280 West-Price). Family was at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and will be at the church Tuesday one hour prior to service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
